“Crystal Light 25 Cents!”
July 31, 2007 at 3:55 pm | In life | 3 CommentsTags: money, kool-aid, crystal light, lemonade stand
Shea, Kalayah and Morgan (the neighbor girl) decided that today was a good day to sell Kool-Aid. I mixed up some Crystal Light instead…”It’s better for ya anyhow…plus lots of people now days don’t want sugar…so Raspberry Ice it is!”
Poor Austin missed out on all the action cuz it was his naptime. He got to play outside before hand anyhow, so he got a little taste of what was going on.
Morgan flagged down customers left and right, screaming “Crystal Light, only 25 cents!” “Yo! You want some Crystal Light?” “You could atleast LOOK at me!” LMAO! Man that kid cracks me up! My girls just kinda sat there and got all excited when someone stopped. Some people just ignored their pleas….some said “Sorry, no money!”, and some waved.
Their very first customer was a lady. She parked across the street and walked over. She handed Morgan a dollar, to which I though…oh shit. No change. Morgan said, “We don’t have any change!” The nice lady said, “Oh no..it’s yours! I remember when my kids were little and used to do this…” then she asked how many we’re selling. There were three girls, so she gave each of then $1! How nice was that! She was thanked profusely and we chatted for a few.
There was a guy walking down the alley and I pointed at him to Morgan and said “POTENTIAL CUSTOMER!” She asked him if he wanted to buy any and he held up his bag of sunflower seeds and said “I’ll trade ya some sunflower seeds!” She said ok! So he dumped some in a cup and she poured him some juice and off he went, seeds and juice in hand! It was pretty funny! He was a really nice guy.
While I was putting Austin up for his nap, I kept checking out the window to make sure they were ok. They were even providing drive up service! HAHA I found that pretty funny!
The older man across the alley was outside taking pictures of his flowers and I told them to go ask him since he’s hard of hearing. So they went on over and I heard Morgan say “I told you so!” directed to me. I said “What?” “He likes sugar!”, “Well too bad! There’s FAKE sugar in there, he can like that too!” Needless to say he didn’t buy any. Cheap-o!
Heard off in the distance…..bells. “ICE CREAM!” I told them, “Ask him if he wants any!” He stopped and they all bought a fruit bar for $1.25 a piece out of their money earned. Then Morgan sold him 2 cups of juice! What a businesswoman! haha
The paper lady was propositioned, but she was broke….so they handed her a quarter to hand right back. “It was the nice thing to do.” said Morgan. “Yes, it was….but you guys are big dorks!”
All in all, they came out pretty good.
$3.50 each - $1.25 for the fruit bar = $2.25 for their piggy banks!
And out of the that $10.50 earned, I only contributed $1.
Not too shabby for a couple hours of hanging out with a friend in the sunshine!
Can I Get Some Mushrooms That AREN’T Frozen?

You can probably tell by the title that our weekend was full of fun and joy. Friday night Claudes mom stayed with the kids so we could go out to the beach and hang out with my cousins and some friends. The company was good, BUT it was Harley weekend and that meant a few things:
- Bikers galore
- Shitty service=minimal drinks
- Half frozen “deep fried” mushrooms
- Never getting the chicken strip basket you ordered in place of the half frozen/watery mushrooms.
- Not getting drunk cuz you only get 6 drinks in 6 hours.
Other than the above list it was good times! lmao!

So after we hung out at the Porthole…we headed to my cousin Cookies (Courtney) house. We had to stop at the gas station and get some food. We were getting ready to leave when Cookie spotted some friends. Claude got in her car and we drove off. She just lived less than a block away. We got to the house and realized that, Oops! we don’t have the house key. So I waited while Claude went back to get her.

When she got there, she said “You have a choice….you can either go in the house and sleep or you can go to an after party with me.” We’ll sleep thanks. So she let us in, we ate our food and went to bed.
I have no clue when she got home but she was up before us getting ready for work and we left her house about 10am! Crazy.
So we went home and cleaned up the house. Tiffany and Mekhi came over to stay the night. The kids had a blast playing and Tiffany, Claude and I hung out, ate some pizza, watched a movie and went to sleep! Man, we really like to live it up don’t we! HAHA
We had to take our typical get together picture…

Aren’t we just cute! HAHA
Sunday, we went to my cousin Kylas graduation party. Lots of good food and a chance to mingle with some of her dads side of the family.
Congrats Cuz!

Claude called me this morning and told me that he wanted to go out tonight. Me being the oh mah gawd, hell no, we have no babysitter, can’t go whatsoevah type, told him just that. He blabbed something and hung up. I assumed he was irritated and just said fuck it and hung up on me. A couple minutes later he calls back. “So..my mom’s gonna come stay with the kids, so where we goin?” Ummm…. mkay?! We talk for a few, then he tells me he has to go.
The phone rings again. “So, I called Cookie, we’re staying at her house…she doesn’t get off work till 10, but she’ll try to get off early cuz her friend wants her to go out anyhow so it works out perfectly!”
Ok…so where are we sleeping?
“She said she has the spare room, so I’m assuming there.”
Oh, well I thought she had someone moving in there..whatever. Ok.
“So I don’t get a thanks? An, oh boy! We get to go out and have some fun?!”
Yay, thanks! Woot!
LMAO!
So…..guess what we’re doing tonight? We’re going out! To the beach! Staying with my cousin! Drinkin’! YAY! YES! Thanks Claude! ![]()
Missing You
July 26, 2007 at 5:46 pm | In life | 4 CommentsTags: good times, memories
It’s been too long since I’ve had some good quality time with my friends. The most recent hangout I had was with Robin, Dean and Evelyn at Sidneys. That was so fun!
I frequently reminisce about the days when I used to go to Tiffanys house. We’d walk across the street to Jackpot and get a bag of Nacho Cheese Doritos and Mystic Coolers I desperately searched for a link to Mystic Coolers but I can’t find shit!). We’d sit around and watch MTV videos and listen to music in her room.
I used to go to Marians house and we’d play outside on the tire swing, once we rode our bikes TO TOWN! We’ll blame in on young love. We went to see the boys, and then it got to dark to go home, so she called her mom. Frank came and picked us up by South Side Swansons and gave her an ass chewing the whole way home. HAHA We easily rode 12 miles just to get to town. How stupid were we anyhow?
Miah and I used to hang out at his house, make bundt cake (ROFLMAO!), listen to music, pick on Tommy, run around the field, play in the barn and just hang out and watch tv. Man those were the days weren’t they.
Then there’s Summer. We had some good times didn’t we. Taquila might have been involved in one of those times, as was puking on Curtis’s sleeping bag and falling asleep in it. That was lovely. There was our trip to Oregon to see The Phantom of the Opera which I loved and would love to do again! Damn we had a ton of fun.
Liza was subjected to my projectile rice vomit. I still apologize for that one. Really I do. We’ve danced, we’ve laughed, we’ve put a bike rack on your car. You’ve heard me sing karaoke. How much more personal does our relationship have to get? There hasn’t been nearly enough time between us, but I thank my lucky stars that I worked at Heletech or we’d never have met.
Robin and Dean are two of the most down to Earth, crazy motherfuckers out there. If you can’t have fun with them then you just plain can’t have fun. Their right up there with Steve and Darlene..but I don’t have enough dirt of them yet. lol You’re an inspiration to me Robin. Seriously.
Evelyn for being my boss back in the day at McDonalds…one of the coolest ever. She didn’t care if I ate a nugget or threw pickles on the ceiling as long as it was taken care of later! Plus it helps that our daughters are the same age and in the same class!
Keri, my distant, don’t ask me how cousin…lol She’s awesome and funny and can indeed get her drink on! lol She’s engaged to Victor who is totally 100% perfect for her crazy ass!
Candie…for threatening me with your thumbnail in gradeschool, I really don’t know what to say to that. I just wanted to be in your clique and jumprope with the rest of the cool girls! LMAO! Your brother who dressed up like Freddy and tried to kill us with a machete…those were good times. I’d still like to beat his ass for that one though. Scared me to death! We rode our little asses to the school, (since you know, the playground is the big bad protectant!) where he fake slashed out bike tires. We treated our ten speeds like mountain bikes and rode throught the woods like nobodys business!
Katy, one our in a loud busy bar just doesn’t count. A couple of snapshots of us being retarded helps, but almost doesn’t count….You have got to bring Aren around to meet the Claudester and me and we can hang out like non drunk people do. What do you say to that?! HAHA
To my dear BIFs (best internet friends) Beth, Kristina, Tirzah (yes, there’s more of me out there!), Becca and Chantal….ONE OF THESE DAYS we’ll meet. Hopefully. It would be so much fun. Tirzah and I have already decided that when the two of us meet, the world will be sucked into some kind of vortex and we’ll all die….maybe just maybe ya’ll can be so lucky to die by the hands of two crazy bitches. One of which loves to scream at people through a bull horn, and no…that is not me. Beth and Kristina, you’re ma-girls! I can always could on you two for a good laugh or a smart assed comment to kick start my day. Love you guys. Becca and Chantal, you’re the two laid back chillers who only come out when someone’s talking to you first! Becca is pregnant with her first baby and I’m so terribly excited for her! YAY! She’s beautiful too you guys, take a look! Chantal is a mommy of three like myself, (3 boys) and I know I can count on here for some good advice if I ever need any, and it helps that your awesome just like me!!!
To all you guys, I miss you, I love you and I’m so glad you’re my friends!
Weekend Organization
July 23, 2007 at 10:00 pm | In life | 3 CommentsTags: home, laundry, purging
Saturday night my cousin Cookie took Shea and Kalayah to stay with her till Monday….Claude and his brother Bill went to the movie and watched Transformers. Austin and I stayed home and were doing house work.
About 8p.m., I was folding laundry and Jani called (Bills wife). “Well, I was in the showed when Claude came to get Bill and when I got out I realized that you weren’t here!”
Oh…were you expecting me?
“Well….yeah, I was hoping that you were gonna come over and we’d watch a movie and you could help me get my room all organized.”
Hmm, well I want to, but Austin gets so cranky when it’s bed time and I just hate messing with it. Plus I don’t have a car or a car seat.
“Well, if you decide you want to come over I’ll come and get you…”
Ah hell, just come get me.
So I packed up our stuff and we waited for Jani to get here. As soon as I opened the car door Austin in the car seat he screamed bloody murder! Yikes!
So I tried to bribe him with gum to keep quiet and that didn’t work. He screamed till I opened the door to get him out. Little butthead.
So after about an hour of farting around and getting coffee ready….we headed into the bedroom where there were heaps of clothes and things falling out of the closet. It wasn’t too pretty! haha (sorry Jani! I’m totally ratting you out!)
After 5 of these:
full of clothes, and some closet organization her room looked a thousand times better!
Kudos to us! YAY!
The guys came home and watched some tv and whatever in the living room…Claude got bored and decided to take Austin home, so that gave us a chance to finish up and haul the bags outside and just kinda hang out for a bit. She drove me home about 1a.m. after we drove by and looked at the fire. It was a pretty fun night.
Sunday morning we got up and went and looked at the fire, then while we were driving to get something to eat, I asked Claude if it was ok if I called Jani and asked her if we could come over. He said fine and so I called. She of course said sure come on over! We went and got lunch and scarfed it at their house….then it was time to get to work!
First it was the laundry room, then the kids room…
So here we went with these again:
Instead of:
That would have been the better option. Seriously.
Once again Claude took Austin home after having dinner and lounging around for a bit. (What a good hubby huh! It’s ok baby…I know you were just missin your X-Box! :) lol)
This time she brought me home about 10, but not after driving across town to drop her girls off at a friends house for the night.
Today was my normal working Monday…today was my parents house. After 3 hours of cleaning there I came home and spend 5 or 6 on my own house. I had Claude take a
full of clothes out to my car, and a
full of toys out to my car. Vacuumed the whole upstairs, swept and mopped the bathroom. I have a couple things left to do and that’s laundry and mop the kitchen.
I feel SO much better having that taken care of and Oh My Hell…the playroom is not the remains of a tornado anymore. They have the toy rack full of toys, their doll house and belongings, the Dora kitchen and a high chair and barbie cars and a truck.
I pulled another “Home Of The Free” and put the swivel chair that was in Austins room out of the sidewalk. The pregnant lady from a block down the road was walking by and told Claude not to let anyone take it. After she walked back from the store she had a couple buddies come haul it home.
Hasta La Taco chair. You won’t be missed!
As I was saying…I feel SO much better. So relieved.
I got one of my two books in the mail today. That made me happy. It’s not the next in the series so I can’t start reading yet! haha That sucks, but it was terribly fast shipping and cheap as hell. Thanks Amazon and McKenzieBooks YOU RULE!
Some Old Man Is Snoring

It wont stop raining. For the last three days it hasn’t given up. We’re supposed to go to the circus at 7, and I’m not really looking forward to it in this weather.
Can you believe that it costs $20 for an adult ticket? Isn’t that ridiculous? TWENTY BUCKS! Crazy.
Luckily we all get to go for free since my grandma won tickets this morning from the radio station. I’ll be sure to pack a blanket and coats.
Claude wants to go to the movies tonight and see The Transformers…but I’m not sure I want to go. I want to see the movie but being overweight paired with theatre seats doesn’t really strike me as good times. Sucks to be a fat ass. lol
I talked to my friend Beth on messenger today and it’s amazing how alike we are. She’s such an awesome person. We talked about a whole bunch of things, from the past to the present. We shared pictures and laughed at one another. Good times.
It’s almost 5 and I still haven’t fixed my hair of slapped any makeup on. I’m slackin today big time. I have a basket of laundry to fold too. I guess I should get movin huh.
Blast From The Past
July 18, 2007 at 1:47 pm | In life | 1 CommentTags: guys
This happened many many years ago, but it was so funny, I thought I’d share.
I went to my friend Miahs house and we’d decided that we’d camp down at the river by his house. It was him, myself, our friend Andrea, and Miahs cousin Kevin. We got all settled in and were hanging out around the fire in our sleeping bags talking and laughing. Miah had on his “cape.” It was something he was used to being in when he didn’t have clothes on….sorta like a sheet I suppose, but needless to say, it’s a black cape. So anyhow, he was squatting down on the other side of the fire doing something….of course he was facing us. Anyhow we (Andrea and I) were talking and looking at the fire. Miah accidently lost grip on his cape and well..you know. “BALLS!” “OMG, WE TOTALLY JUST SAW YOUR BALLS!” It was easily one of the funniest memories I ever remember hanging out with him. Man, I love that guy. He’s great.
If I wasn’t such a lazy whore I’d give him a call and tell him to get his ass over here. I’ve messaged him on MySpace but he’s a busy guy. It’s been close to a year now since we’ve hung out.
Anyhow, I thought I’d share that tidbit of info. It was hilarious…but you’d had to have been there to get the full effect! lol
No Title-Can’t Think

I’m not home yet…still at my parents house waiting for them to get home. I supposed I could go any time I wanted but my dad said he’d hook me up with some gas money…so that’s why I’m stickin around.
Claude couldn’t handle the X-Box withdrawls any longer and headed out an hour and a half ago. He at least took the girls with him so now I only have to chase after the the little one. Man this kids gets into lots of shit. Drives me nuts. It’s different at home because he knows his boundaries a little better….here-it’s a damn free for all. Arg!
I’m not looking forward to going home and doing laundry. I probably have 3 loads to do which isn’t horrible…I just like to complain remember! lol
I suppose I should be wandering away from here to see what Austin is up to. It’s raining too…that sucks a little.
Out In The Valley

Man I just love it out here…it’s so peaceful. Trees all around and birds singin. It’s so nice and serene to be out of town, not having to hear trucks rumbling by and you don’t have to worry about someone coming along and swiping your kid out of your yard. Now don’t get my wrong, I live in a pretty safe neighborhood, but these days you just can’t be too sure!
Out here at my parents house, my biggest worry is Austin getting to close to the pool and falling in…I need to work on convincing my mom to build a gate leading up to the deck still. I’ll try and remember to stress that to her tomorrow when they get home.
Deing the dipshit that I am, I forgot to bring my camera AGAIN. I could use my moms but then I have to mess with uploading them with her usb cable and I dunno if I want to. I like to keep everything in one spot on my computer and this would just be more work. Regardless it’s beautiful out here and if you’ve never been to Western Washington you’d love the scenery.
I was thinking that if it’s nice tomorrow, I’d take the kids down the hill to the river and let them play in the shallow water. They would love that. I’ll have to wait and see.
I brought my book and a magazine out here with me and sat on the patio and read a few pages…if the kids would stay in one spot and quit hootin and hollerin for me it’d be easier to concentrate.
Claude and I have both been looking forward to the change of pace being out here even if it’s only for one night. It’ll be good for our closeness too. We had a nice long talk last night and today will be like a fresh start while on a mini getaway.
Enjoy your day! ![]()
Being Passive Doesn’t Always Pay Off
July 11, 2007 at 12:42 pm | In life | No CommentsTags: Friends and Family, irritated, Parenting
So many times in my life I’ve just gone with the flow and did what people wanted and expected of me. At times that was ok, others it didn’t sit so well with me. Between being stubborn and passive there’s not much room for normalcy. If I want “me” time I want some quiet time where I can blog or read a book or magazine and please oh please keep the kids away from me.
I’m selfish. Exactally the kind of person I don’t like. This is where being passive might help me out. If I do what someones asking at the same time I’m trying to be selfish I might actually end up enjoying myself. Does this make any sense or are you all sorts of confused? lol
“Lets go hang out at [so and so's] house!”
Hell. No. I hate it there.
“Oh come on, you always say that but you always have fun!”
Bullshit.
Next thing I know I’m there and having fun. Go figure.
I think I feel that way because after being at home all day/week with 3 kids….going to someone elses house where there’s a great possibility that there’ll be MORE kids doesn’t exactally enthuse me, yet it just might keep my kids off my ass and get them outside without me! Then, there’s also the possibility that my husband will go off galivanting without me and leave me to once again watch the kids. Alone. I can do that shit at home.
See what I mean? I’m selfish. Stubborn, yet passive and at times a raging bitch.
Ahh, married life!
