I Prefer Grilled Cheese Sammies With American Cheese Instead Of Cheddar - Just A Little FYI!

So last night was Shea’s open house, which was nothing more than walking into a classroom, picking up a few papers and saying hi to the teacher.  I thought that her teacher was new this year to the school, but she was here last year so whatever.  I hung around and sharpened a couple pencils labeled her crayons and scissors and left.  Kalayah had quite the conniption fit so I had taken her with me… all in all it was pretty uneventful.  I knew a handful of kids that are in her class, so that’s always nice.  Shea’s best friend Marissa is in the same class, so that makes the school year easier for Shea, especially starting out.

I’m rambling.  Totally rambling.

Noah (milk spilling nephew) just announced that the bathroom door was locked and I was about to throw Shea across town….but turns out, he’s just retarded.

Relief!

I burnt my grilled cheese…..fucker.

If you haven’t already seen it and since I enjoy whoring myself…go to my profile page and you can leave me a voice mail…it’s pretty cool.  If you click on the other people, you can hear the messages I left them.  I’m a spaz.  My friends already know that though, which probably means that you reading this are just getting a refresher course on my hilarity.  Now run along and leave me something funny!

I Totally Almost Cried Over Spilt Milk

My nephew is over today…I asked him what he’d had for breakfast…his reply?  “I’m not hungry.”  I should have just left it at that, but I asked him “Are you sure?  You don’t want some eggs and cheese or a tortilla?”  When will I learn…

So all the kids were eating at the table, I gave them their milk and gave them the ONLY ONE CUP TODAY, IF YOU LOSE IT YOU DON’T GET SHIT TO DRINK lecture, then about 20 seconds later, Nephew, talking about Thomas The Damn Stupid Train (he had a “book” that came with a movie, you know the kind that shows you other shit you can buy that’s also Thomas related), did some motioning and… Milk.  All.  Over.  It the milk had just spilt on the table, ok.  On the floor too?  Ok.  All over Austins lap, the table AND the floor?  No.  As usual, I never get to eat my food when it’s newly prepared, I’m always running around like a chicken trying to listen to all the demands of who needs what, what goes where, what am I forgetting?!

Not only did I have to nuke my food, I had to clean the stupid, ever lovin booster seat, and that my friends, was pure joy.

It’s this kind, but we weren’t using the tray:

(Ignore the “seat insert” bit, upon searching for a picture, I found there’s a recall! LMAO!)

So there’s lots of crannies and shit where the milk will “store” and seep out later onto your freshly mopped floor.

Dude!  Look at the adorable boosters I just found!  Awwww…. fuck that, 72 BUCKS!

Mucho Cuteness though right?

Can you sense my bitterness?  Can you?  Good thing I’m leaving for a few hours today to clean! haha

His “book” went in the garbage, the kitchen towel went on top of the washer and I’m about ready to go through the ceiling.  Already, and it’s only 9:18ayyyyemmmm!

Just The Way It Is

Something happens to me when I spend just a little too much time online…

People seem too defectless, to upbeat, so unexplained.  I love my friends and I wouldn’t trade them for the World…sometimes life has a weird way of getting me down though.

I had the most wonderful time today bantering back and forth with Kristina today on Flickr, then I started watching videos of chickens getting slaughtered, elephants being prodded and I started feeling down in the dumps.  Gee, do you think it was the good times or the slaughtered chickens that got me down?

I also read an article on Star Jones Reynolds and how she lost weight and her outlook on her life then and now and it just gets me down.  There’s so many things I’d love to do, (love to be able to do) but just wont get off my butt and get done.  It’s ridiculous really.  A relative of mine did it and is happier than hell!  I want that to be me, I just don’t want to have to work for it.

Lazy ass.

Guess it’s just one of those days…

Rape In The Bathtub

I was laying in the bathtub, legs hanging out towards the toilet, with a nightgown on.  Cheeseburger had jumped up above my head and made his way to my neck to snuggle up and take a nap.  I was washing my hair, sudsing, white, foamy.

Eyes closed, head in the water, listening to the sound that soap makes…

The bathroom door opens, an older man, around 65 years old walks in and closes the door behind him.

“Who are you?”

Oh, don’t worry, I’m a friend of Chucks.  He sat down on top of the toilet, looking at me.

“What do you want?”

I didn’t get a verbal response…he tried to grab me, I kicked at him, he grabbed my leg.  I tried to scream for Claude who was sleeping in the next room.  Only squeaks came out, I had no voice.

He tried to lift my night gown up, I kicked and pawed and tried to keep him at a distance.  He climbed into the tub and was standing beside me, I was finally able to scream for Claude…

I heard a faint “What” come from the bedroom, I said “Help!”  “Help!”

Then I woke up.

Green Feet

This week has been an off week.  Mondays I normally clean house, but it wasn’t going to be convenient for my dad, so I waited till today.  This morning at 8:14, I heard a scream…an Austin scream.  The first thing that popped into my head was that he was stuck in his crib and was going to somehow hang himself.  I then realized that Shea had taken it upon herself to go and get him out of bed and take him in her room.

I stomped my ass in there and asked her just what in the hell she thought she was doing getting her brother out of bed at EIGHT O’CLOCK IN THE MORNING, cuz I was trying to sleep!  “Well he can sleep in here!,” she replied as she was nestling down into her bed.  Austin was standing up by the headboard trying to get into the blankets with her.

I hate when my mornings start out with such a jolt, and not even the decency to be caffeinated.

I couldn’t go back to bed after that, so I got in the shower.

While I was cleaning my parents house my grandma called and said she was going to take the kids down to the park so I stopped by the park once I got into town.  We hung around there for awhile talking and watching the kids play, then headed to the bank to deposit a couple checks.  “Don’t forget to ask for suckers!!!”  Guess who said that…

We got home about 2:30 and I decided that Austin didn’t need a nap so they all played outside.  The girls went over to Morgans house then they all came over here.  Claude went to Olympia to meet up with a guy about music.  He’s a guitar player and they are tossing ideas around as far as getting a band together.

While he’s been gone, I made dinner, cleaned up the kitchen, washed some clothes, and put the kids to bed.  I like to wear flip flops when I mow…kinda silly especially since it ruins the shoes and turn my feet green, but oh well.  That’s life I guess.

Claude had his friend, Steve Brown record these songs for him after downloading the mp3s from the band Kustem.  He recorded these for a demo to try to get in with the band, they finally got back to him and decided that because of musical differences that it’s pretty much a no go…

He’s really pleased with the recordings…as he should be, he did a fantastic job!  Here’s a link to Claudes music site so you can have a listen:

Give Claude a hollar and let him know what you think, send him an email at silenced_in_the_wake@hotmail.com.

He’d really appreciate it!

Thanks tesco for your help…I appreciate it!

The hate mail has been pouring in from you guys, bitching about my lack of posting.  Not really, but it’d be nice.  lol

Regardless of all that nonsense….I have been slacking on the blog front, but not on other things that needed to be done, like:

1.  Shopping at Ross
2.  Shopping at Wal-Mart
3.  Looking for Shoes-not finding SHIT!
4.  Buying a birthday present for Claude (his birthday is the 24th for those of you who care!)
5.  Exchanging earrings for Shea
6.  Grocery shopping
7.  NOT going to www.oldnavy.com and shopping like I want to! HAHA

As you can see I’ve been busy, the kids have really been going nuts for two days riding aroung in the van, in and out of the car and eating fast food.  Ok, so to be honest, that last part-I’m sure they don’t really care about!

I’ve made the decision to send Kalayah to pre-school this year.  It’s not free, but that’s ok cuz she really wants to go and Grannie and my parents want to pay for her to go so that’s cool.  She’ll go Monday, Wednesday and Friday for 3 hours a day.  That means ONE KID HOME for three hours THREE times a week!  Dude…I’m stoked!  Plus she really really wants to go and start learning some new stuff.  I’m sure she’ll hate me if they start making her spell her name!  (I know I’m a shit parent since I haven’t yet taught her or tried to teach her how to spell her own name…but in my defense she’ll tell you how to spell it!)

Shea starts school on the 4th and she’s more than excited to get back into the swing of things and back to her friends.  She’s grown so much this last year, she’s so independent, mouthy, rude, psycho, teenage like beautiful and well spoken that sometimes it scares me half to death!

Sticking to growing up, Austin has grown by leaps and bounds in the last few months.  He’s my little man now!!!  He doesn’t have the same downy fine hair that he used to, he doesn’t have that new baby smell anymore, he talks, he tells me no, he knows his body parts and can say them when he feels like it.  Just a few minutes ago I was getting his pajamas on and after we were done, we sang pat-a-cake and he “rolled it” and threw it in the oven and yelled “YAY!” at the end while throwing his arms up in the air.  Then I asked him where his eyes, and nose were, he showed me and said their names…I asked where his teeth were and he smiled and said “Cheese!,” I asked him where his ears were, he took his pointed finger and stuck it in her ear, said “Ear!” pulled it out, looked at his finger and said “Gross!”  Hahaha!  Isn’t that just too funny for words!  He repeated it with his other ear after much laughter from myself and Shea.  He probably says “Gross!” because I always tell him that his ears are gross whenever I look in there.  He’s a waxy little boy, what can I say.

Oh hey…Kristina!  I bought myself a polka dotted shirt at Ross yesterday and totally was in love with it until I put it on and then I just looked like a polka dotted fat roll with huge boobs!  LMAO!  (Just to let you know I was just cracking up over that last statement for a good minute or so, Claude however didn’t think it was all that and a bag of chips [pun was totally intended]….I think someone needs to have their funny bone examined!)

Anyhow, I’m just kinda sitting here drinking my wine and thinking about too many different things at once, so my mind is not exactally focused on what I should be doing….

*flossing my damn teeth*

See, what did I tell you! HAHA

Today at Safeway I ran into Amber (used to be Matthews), Miah and Casey Hogarty!  Crazyness considering that I haven’t seen Amber in probably 10 years, it’s been atleast 2 since I’ve seen Casey and Miah has been M.I.A. the last couple months, with his new job position and scheduling.  It was nice to see them though…for some reason makes me feel better about myself!  Dunno why, just does.  Shut up and stop looking at me like that.

Friday night was my best friends high school reunion, so Claude and I were invited to tag along.  We met up with Tiffany and Patrick at their hotel room and had a couple drinks before heading out for the night.  Our initial plan was to grab something for dinner and head to the bar for the get together, but you know how plans always have a way of changing.  We were just about to pull into the restaurant parking lot when we all decided to stop by Dave and Hollys house and surprise them.  It had been 2 years since I’d seen them and they were quite surprised!  It was nice hanging out and seeing how big their kids are now!  Crazy how fast time goes by.

I don’t think we left their house till after 9, then we just went ahead and headed to Stiffys Pub for the reunion and ordered some grub there instead.  Tiffany and I each ordered chicken strip baskets and Claude ordered a burger.  It was so good, I was starvin’!

Patrick kept trying to convince people that he was in their class, claiming that he was from “Hokum…” yet they knew better, but it made for some good laughs.  Claude knew quite a few of the people there since he’d also went to Hoquiam, I ran into a few as well.  Here’s a few pics from our night of fun.  You can tell that it went from fun to funner!

Good times!  Can’t ya tell!  LMAO!

We went home and crashed and my parents decided that “hangover day” would be the perfect time to show up for a visit, so I was up at 10 hanging out downstairs nursing a headache.

Saturday we took the kids to the fair in Elma…we looked at all the animals, watched a little of the talent show, ate a little food, let the girls ride the ponies…

Wanna Go Out Back?

We didn’t get downstairs this morning till after 11.  I got up about nine, showered, put clothes away and started dusting.  I don’t know why I even started, it always seems to escalate into more cleaning.

We got down here in time to open the blinds and start emptying the dishwasher when my mother-in-law showed up.  I made a pot of coffee, cleaned the kitchen and sat down and visited.

My friend Tiffany is coming to town tonight with her boyfriend for her high school reunion (am I really getting old or what!) and Claude and I are going to go with them to the bar and hang out.  It should be a blast.  We haven’t had any time together in quite awhile now, just the 4 of us…so it’ll be really nice.  Unfortunately they can’t stay at our house either since Patrick is allergic to cats….

After all my bitchin’ that I did about my book taking forever to get here, I haven’t read more than 2 pages in the blasted thing.  If I could pry my ass away from the computer for more than meal times and sleep maybe I would actually get some reading done.

I need to dry my hair, put some make-up on and head to Robins house to feed her fish Mandarin.  Man their house is beautiful and they live right on the river.

Alright, well I’m outta here…have a great day!
