March 31, 2008

First of all, let me say that if you aren’t the same “insert real dads name here” that grew up around here and “city” with “my mom and her friends name” then don’t bother reading on, it won’t make any sense!

Well…

I’m not really all that sure how to say who I am, but I know you at least know of me.  My name is Tirzah; I’m a wife, mother, granddaughter, and also a daughter, your daughter.

I’ve been debating either calling you or writing you a letter for the longest time, but up until right now I’ve finally decided that there’s no sense in waiting it out any longer.  I can’t foresee waiting and wondering and then having something unexpected happen and never having the chance to let you know that I’m out here, that I’m willing and that I’m open to a relationship if you are equally willing.

I’ve been married for 10 years to my husband Claude and we have three beautiful kids together, two girls and a boy.  They are 7, 4 and 2 respectively, and they give me the most joy and the most anger I’ve experienced in my life so far!

I don’t want to force anything on you, I just want you to know that I’m around if you ever feel like meeting, talking or just writing a letter.  My parents know that I’ve been considering contacting you and they are ok with that….in fact they offered to help me find you but for now I don’t think I need their help.  I’ve thought about the kind of person that I am, and where some of my personality might have come from.

I’m eager, nervous and hopeful all at the same time.  I don’t have any real expectations for where this will go; I just needed to finally do something so I know I’ve taken a step toward satisfying my curiosity.

Sincerely;

Tirzah Taylor

Come And Knock On Our Door…

Saturday morning Heather (from Canada who drove 7 hours) showed up at my front door! It was unexpected yet greatly loved. Within the first hour of meeting her, she got to meet my parents during breakfast at Denny’s. She witnessed tacky waitressing, kids with attitudes and my dad telling Claude to stop whining!Next we headed back home until we left for my cousin Keri’s baby shower in Central Park. There she got to meet even more family, most of which I didn’t know myself. There was food, games and cake….we were happy. (Mmmm sammiches. Hahaha!)

On the drive home we decided it would be fun to drive to the beach. Claude didn’t want to sit home with the kids, so we all piled into the car and headed to Ocean Shores. She didn’t hesitate to take her shoes off and roll up her pant legs and head to the water, Kalayah followed, then Austin. We took a bunch of picture, Heather stole my battery so she could take a bunch of pictures. I understand though, since it’s not as if she lives here and can go to the beach anytime she wants.

Awww, aren’t we cute? I wish she could have stayed longer, maybe for the weekend. Until next time, I love you Heather!

The title doesn’t really have any relevance, I just like it.

I think I’m getting a headache.  Just what I need.  I totally intend on having a fantastic day and if I get a headache now I’m gonna severely hurt someone.  Maybe you, so you’d better watch out!

So we’ve decided against going to Vegas…Claudes boss is gonna be on vacation that week so it wouldn’t be very cool for him to be gone too.  Plus it was kind of a last minute thing.  We were gonna go to Vancouver and hang with Heather, but I forgot that they changed the law…you have to have either a Passport or an enhanced drivers license.  We have neither.  It’d cost us $200 for Passports and apparently I’m too cheap for that! lol

Out of curiosity, I just looked up the enhanced license and it’d cost us $40 a piece and is valid for crossing the border….maybe we’ll look into doing that instead.  Then again a Passport is $100 a piece but also lasts for 15 years.  :)

Oh the choices!

(Heather, I REALLY want to come see you, you know that right?!)

We also might go hang out in Seattle at Tiffs house for a few days.  Just getting out of the house and away from the kids just might be enough to get me through a few more weeks of sanity!  Plus, then I might finally meet Jen!  YAY!  There are just too many people to meet and not enough time to do it in!  We need to have a big ole bbq at my place this summer!  hahaha

That’d be pretty cool actually.  Let’s work on that!

Someone Get The Bulb Syringe…I’m Tired Of Blowing My Nose!

The manufactures of Kleenex and tp must really love the cold and flu season….I have a mound of Kleenex on the table next to me because I have no energy to even think about getting up off of my ass and throwing it away. I have the necessities, Kleenex being the first, the home phone, cell phone, remote, an empty glass that was full of orange juice and of course, the laptop.

My eyes won’t stop watering, my head is cloudy and the roofers are here. So not only do I have to deal with my own shit, I have to hear theirs as well. So far it’s not terrible, but they just got started….so I can imagine. I missed an appointment yesterday, I missed an appointment today and I had to trade with Melissa since I was supposed to be the snack parent for preschool today.

It’s nice to know such good people. People who are willing to go the extra mile and cheer you up. A few of you have been doing an awesome job of that and I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate it! I’m such a whiney baby to begin with, let alone when I’m sick. Austin cries every time his nose runs, Kalayah or Finger Stapler as I like to call her, keeps complaining that her tummy hurts. Can’t we just live in a damn bubble already? I hate it when the kids are sick, I know it’s only a matter of days until I’m stuck with it too. Maybe it’s a great reason to home school. I would totally go INSANE! It’s bad enough trying to get them to pick up their shoes and clean their room, I can’t imagine giving them daily assignments and expecting a good outcome.

The house is a mess, a disaster. Austin finds it a fun game to pull each and every coat off of the kids coat rack and throw them in a heap on the floor…and no one but ME will even stop to pick them up. So far they have been laying there for 2 days and I haven’t had the energy to stop and hang them up. Being a maid sucks balls.

So I just had to take a “break” cuz the mail lady was at the door.  So instead of answering the door and then coming back, I made Kalayah hang up the coats, I cleaned the kitchen, swept the floor and vacuumed the living room.  Now I just might have a heart attack!  lol

Certainly not funny, yet I still laugh.

Too lazy to proofread this, so I hope it all makes sense.

There’s talk of Vegas in the air…

On March 29th our friends Steve and Darlene are renewing their vows, on the 3oth, they are driving to Portland and flying to Vegas in the morning and will come home on the 3rd.  Last night Claude and I were talking about somewhere to go on vacation.  We usually do something in March since it’s our anniversary and this year he suggested going to Vegas with “The Crew.”  I think it would be pretty cool, but I also think it might end up being too expensive for us.  I don’t know the exact cost of the rooms or tickets, I can imagine that the entertainment might take up a huge hunk of the money!

It’s just talk for now, but I know we’d have a blast.  I know that Steve, Darlene, Dean and Robin are going for sure.  Our biggest obstacle would most likely be getting babysitters….what a joy that will be.

I hate flying.  I’m so not looking forward to EVER flying again.  I’d rather drive for a week than fly.  I could totally barf just thinking about it!
