Oblivious.

I started the day off all sorts of wrong this morning.
The phone rang at 7:15 and it was my brother-in-law Sam letting me know that Debbie was trying to drop Noah off but we didn’t answer the door. Thankfully Claude was still home because I wasn’t dressed and I was still 90% asleep.
I fired off a premature email, resulting in complete and utter chaos. I can be so stupid sometimes.
The preschool called to discuss some things with me about next year and Kalayah ran in the house screaming “Shea called me fat!!!” at the top of her lungs. Then my cell rang, then I was getting another call on the home phone all in the span of 30 seconds. Disastrous.
We’ve had the weirdest damn weather around here lately…I sent Shea to school with a sweatshirt and a coat for field day since the weather is so damn unpredictable…and she came home in a t-shirt bitching about being too hot. The sun is out and it’s beautiful!!! Tomorrow she gets to go to the beach for a field trip, she’s excited and I’m debating on what to send with her for lunch. I think I need to go to Wal-Mart. Maybe I’ll do that after Noah goes home. There’s no since in wrangling 4 kids around the store when I can wait awhile. Hell, I might even wait until Claude gets home and just take Shea with me. That sounds like the best plan, we’ll go with that one.
Yesterday I fought with the router and modem enough to make someone want to hang themselves. The day before I lost count after 8 router resets. What a bunch of bullshit. I ended up going to Comcast and exchanging my modem thinking that maybe that would solve the problem. I’m going to get a new router here in the next few days too.
My bio Dad is coming over the dinner Saturday, I’m pretty excited about it! I hope the kids aren’t completely annoying and that other company doesn’t decide to show up at the same time.
Enough with my random self…I’m gonna go find something to smile about now!

How was dinner with bio-dad?
Comment by Jess — June 15, 2008 #
It was really good! He cooked a roast and carrots and we made mashed potatoes. He even brought a home made chocolate cake! It was delicious!!!!
Thanks for asking!

You’re welcome! Do the kids get along with bio-dad. do they know everything

Jess, they know that he’s my dad but I’m not sure that they fully get it. I’d made sure to reiterate to Shea that I don’t want her referring to bio dad as my REAL dad around my DAD. (confused?!) lol
He’s very much a part of our lives but he’s not her to replace what my Dad has done for the past 25 years, and that is to raise me. As far as “everything” goes, I don’t even know “everything” yet. We’ve yet to discuss the details of that yet. In the end it doesn’t matter but I’d still like to know.

YEAH, dinner with Dad! You must be excited! I am so happy for you and the fact that things worked out for you like they did! You should call Oprah, tell her your story. * giggles *
